Employee Development

Continually enhancing, extending, and expanding our culture of collaboration firm wide through learning is crucial to the firm's ongoing success. In addition to tuition assistance (see Work/Life Balance), which helps employees pursue education opportunities outside MFS, our Learning and Development team provides personal development opportunities that are either instructor-led, Web-based, or self-paced. We have categorized our resources within these key disciplines:

Professional Development

We provide blended learning offerings to help individuals develop the critical skills and knowledge necessary for building a successful career at MFS. These programs are appropriate for employees at all levels.

Leadership Development

We directly support MFS' corporate goals and objectives as well as its leadership competency models. These offerings target all levels of management, including business unit leaders, senior vice presidents, vice presidents, assistant vice presidents, front-line, unit and section managers, supervisors, and team leaders.

Sales Development

Employees in sales and marketing roles will find blended learning offerings to help them develop critical selling skills necessary for building customer loyalty and increasing sales and market share.

Product Knowledge

We provide blended learning solutions for new and existing MFS products. These programs are mainly targeted to MFS registered reps. In addition, most of these offerings satisfy the annual FINRA Firm Element requirements for our registered representatives.

Business Technology

This area addresses specific business needs throughout the organization. These offerings are delivered in various formats, depending upon the topic and number of participants.

Team Effectiveness

These offerings are delivered in a classroom setting and are designed to support the critical skills needed for building successful teams within the company. These workshops are targeted to specific departments. MFS Learning and Development provides additional resources, including access to over 200 Web-based training programs and an in-house learning resources center.
