Comprising several behind-the-scenes units, our investment operations team connects MFS’ traders to the wider universe of banks and custodians.

As we create new products and invest in new securities, markets, and nontraditional assets to meet the needs of investors worldwide, we look for our operations units to ensure data integrity, trade processing accuracy, collateral management, and corporate actions. Back-office Support

With hundreds of portfolios under management at MFS, reconciling daily trading activity is a complex process. Ensuring trades are accurately executed is only the beginning. Maintaining good working relationships with banks and investment houses is a key responsibility, as is making sure cash balances and accounts are reconciled every day.

Middle-office Support

With functions ranging from front-end compliance and corporate actions to data integrity and trade support, our middle office group is a direct link between our portfolio managers and our back-office processing unit. We also work with sales teams to “onboard” new accounts and with traders to discuss the processing of new security types. Problem solving is a core component of what we do. Our work demands that each team member develops the ability to identify issues and to quickly assess what to handle and what to elevate.
